About us

Lions District 14A Charitable Foundation, Inc.

The Lions District 14A Charitable Foundation, Inc. was established in 2012 to help improve the quality of life of the blind, vision and hearing impaired, and physically handicapped in Bucks, Delaware, and Philadelphia Counties, Pennsylvania through providing goods or services for various needs. In 2015 Montgomery County was added to our service coverage area.

We respond to requests for assistance from various sources in the four county area including individuals, Lions Clubs, and governmental agencies relating to various visual, hearing and handicapped needs such as eye exams, eyeglasses, hearing aids, special computers and readers. Assistance and funding is primarily provided to those in financial need. Generally the Foundation will provide for needs beyond the capability of the local Lions Club, or where there is not a Lions Club in the area.

The Foundation has no paid employees and is operated fully by volunteer Lions from throughout the District. All decisions are made by the Board of Directors, consisting of 9 elected Lions from the District.

The Foundation is a 501c3 organization and derives most of its funding from fundraiser’s, donations from Lions Clubs, individuals, United Way and grants.
